Staying On The Ball

Just a figure study I finished today.  Spent about 5 hours...

Study Buddy

A fundamental experiment. Whist getting back into my groove, I've stumbled upon an alternative study experiment inspired by fellow artist Paul Richards. Love his gesture life drawings!

It's fun because it forces you to work fast while paying attention to specific aspects of a piece. i.e.)Mass, Palatte, Detail or Composition. I spent five minutes rushing through each this morning. Fun stuff!

Female Figure Paint Study

Just touching up my Photoshop painting skills.

When I started this, I didn't think I would push it as far as I did. But it just goes to show, if you keep pushing something, you might end up pleasantly surprised.

Value Study

Just touching up on my value exercises. Tried out a new brush I created in Photoshop. You get a more painterly look when you try to blend the hell out of values. Especially when Opacity and Flow are at 100%.
